EVENING SERVICES
EVENING SERVICES AT ST. NICHOLAS DERSINGHAM. Our Evening Services are now structured as follows, subject to change due to Festivals. 1st & 3rd Sunday – Common Worship 2nd Sunday – Celtic / Iona style worship. 4th Sunday – Holy Communion. Where there is a fifth Sunday, in the evening there will be a Taize style service. During the summer months, from April through to October there is a Choral Evensong (except in August) on the 2nd Sunday and the Celtic service moves to the third Sunday in the month. We use a service booklet which contains all three services which are regularly used. The Taize service will be separate. The Common Worship and Celtic Service are based on a theme such as The Old Testament prophets or Characters from Acts and the Holy Communion Service uses the set Gospel Reading for the Evening Service.
