The first St Michael's church was built in 1843 and destroyed by enemy bombing in 1941. It was replaced by a new church opened in 1953 which was of poor workmanship. This was demolished and the third church built on the site was opened in 2009.

From 1 January 2017 St Michael's is now a united parish with St Barnabas, Devonport.

United Sunday Worship at St Michael's
We are a community of all ages and backgrounds and there has been a church on this site for nearly 170 years. We now have a warm, modern church opened in 2009, with separate room for the little ones, and disabled access. Come and find out more about the good news of Jesus Christ!
We alternate Holy Communion with Morning Worship. Baptisms take place in our main service when there is Morning Worship - usually on 1st, 3rd or 5th Sundays of the month every Sunday at 10:30 AM for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Family Friendly Sunday School Refreshments Common Worship
