Dodworth Church is the Church of England Parish Church for all residents of Dodworth and Gilroyd, but remains the spiritual home for many from the parish who have moved to other parts of the country or around the world. The Church is open for worship regularly throughout the week and all visitors are welcome.  If you're new to the area, a visitor or even a long term resident and would like to come along, please do - you'll receive a warm welcome.

Sunday

Parish Eucharist
Every Sunday at 10am, the main Parish service is Holy Communion with hymns. Everyone, of all ages, is welcome. On Remembrance Sunday the service is at 9:15am followed by a service at the War Memorial. Tea and coffee is served on the first Sunday of the month.

Sunday School
Sunday School meets every Sunday while the main servce is going on. All children are welcome, but a parent or guardian must please remain in Church and if your child is under 3 perhaps in Sunday School. All volunteers are CRB checked.

Thursday

Holy Communion
This is a short, said service, to which all people are welcome.
Every Thursday at 9:30 AM for ½ hour
Coffee and Cake
Come along on Thursday mornings between 10:15 and 12noon for a cup of coffee or tea and a slice of cake - it costs only £1. Cakes are usually home-baked. Bring a friend!
Every Thursday at 10:15 AM for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Family Friendly Coffee
Parent and Toddler
Parents, carers and pre-school children meet to sing, read a story, do some craft, play and chat. People who wish to talk about christenings/baptisms are welcome to come along.
During term time only. every Thursday at 2:00 PM for 1 hour

Youth Group
Meet in Church for fun and games every Friday evening of term. You must be at least 8 years old and have parents' or guardians' permission to attend. All adult volunteers are CRB checked.

Visit our Church

Most days from 9am for at least 45 minutes, often longer, for prayers and again at 3pm. (Not Tuesdays or Saturdays). Opening times vary during school holidays.

Nurture Courses

Nuture courses are arranged with the Vicar and are available to anyone who wishes to discuss the Christian Faith, as new enquirers, long standing believers and doubters. A specific course isnt followed - discussion is tailored to peoples circumstances.
