Welcome to the Holy Spirit, Dovecot.
The church is located on the main A57 trunk road approximately 5 miles outside Liverpool at the junction with Dovecot Avenue.
In 1931, the Diocese of Liverpool purchased Dovecot Farm for the purpose of building a Church and Hall to serve the new parish of Dovecot. The hall was the first building to be completed, dedicated on 4th June 1932 and this served as both hall and church until the church itself was completed in 1937.
The hall is used for a variety of groups including Brownies/Guides, Beavers/Cubs/Scouts, Dancing and Karate. The hall is also available to hire for individual functions or for long term use.
The Church is here to serve the community and if you would like to discuss a wedding, baptism or funeral, please contact us. If you are looking for somewhere to worship, please come and join us, our doors are open and a very warm welcome awaits everyone.

Monthly evensong with choir
First Sunday of each month with a break in August and September every first Sunday at 4:30 PM for ¾ hour

A short, said prayer service in the quiet of the chapel
Every Monday at 8:30 AM for 20 minutes
Tuesday
A short, said prayer service in the quiet of the chapel
Every Tuesday at 8:30 AM for 20 minutes
Weekday morning Eucharist Held in the Chapel (Dovecot Avenue entrance)
Every Tuesday at 11:00 AM for ½ hour
Wednesday
A short said prayer service in the quiet of the Chapel
Every Wednesday at 6:30 PM for 20 minutes
Thursday
A short, said prayer service in the quiet of the chapel
Every Thursday at 8:30 AM for 20 minutes
A Eucharist Service using the Book of Common Prayer. The service is held in the Chapel. . .Please use the Dovecot Avenue entrance
Every Thursday at 10:00 AM for ½ hour
Saturday
If you would like to discuss a wedding or baptism, please call into the Church on Saturday mornings. Please use the Dovecot Avenue entrance.
