Present building replaced the wooden mission church of St Barnabas. Became a Parish Church in 1949. Fine Compton organ. Committed to collaborative ministry.
Mission and ministry conceived of in terms of resourcing the flourishing of the community we serve.
Relaxed and friendly. Vestments. Reserved Sacrament.
Church Hall available for hire.

Regular Services

Sunday

Holy Communion (BCP)
Short traditional act of worship
Every second and fourth Sunday at 8:30 AM for 40 minutes

Junior Church
Fun activities and worship for toddlers to teens. Joins the Church service at around 11.30am.
Weekly, except when morning worship is all-age. every Sunday at 10:30 AM

Parish Communion
Relaxed and informal Communion Service (CW). On first Sundays of the month the worship is designed specifically for all ages together, with refreshments afterwards. On fifth Sundays of the month there is a joint service with St Luke's Church, Cradley Heath, and venue alternates between St John's and St Luke's (service at St Luke's is at 10:00am).
Every first third and fifth Sunday at 11:15 AM for 1 hour

Service of the Word
Relaxed and informal Service of the Word
Every second and fourth Sunday at 11:15 AM for 1 hour

Evensong (BCP)
Traditional service.
At least once a month (varies) every Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour

Evening Service of the Word
May be Common Worship Evening Prayer or a one-off Service of the Word. Tends to be informal.
At least once a month every Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour

Tuesday

Holy Communion (CW)
Mid-week service of Holy Communion
Fortnightly on a Tuesday morning every first and third Tuesday at 10:00 AM for 40 minutes

Adventure Club
Outdoor games in summer, indoor games in winter. Annual Panto production.Fun-events. For children who come to Junior Church on Sundays.
Weekly in term time every Tuesday at 6:00 PM for 1½ hours

Wednesday

Miles and Smiles
Uses community transport to take small groups on day-trips. Especially appreciated by those without transport or living alone.
Monthly every Wednesday at 9:00 AM

Friday

Coffee Stop
Drop in cafe held in the Church Hall.Tea, coffee, soup, toast and company. Can also make enquiries here about banns, weddings and baptisms.
Every Friday at 10:00 AM for 2 hours

Parish Office
An opportunity to enquire about banns of marriage, weddings and baptisms in a cafe-style environment. Held in the Church Hall.
