William Morris called St Mary and All Saints, Dunsfold "The most beautiful country church in all England". Dunsfold Church is a complete 13th Century building situated in an idyllic rural setting a few minutes’ drive from the village centre and within walking distance of the village pub, ‘The Sun'. It is sited above a tributary of the River Arun with the Holy Well close by, the water being used for Baptisms. It also has a reputation for miraculous cures for eye diseases.
There is a list of Rectors on the North Wall and the first recorded Rector was in 1294. Dunsfold church is reputed to have some of the oldest pews in England as well as a 1500 year old Yew Tree. A 17'3" x 4' Tapestry ‘Depicting Life in Dunsfold' sewn by 85 parishioners is on the west wall.
The church has a robed choir and has a variety of services using traditional and contemporary language. The Holy Communion at 8.00am uses 1662 Book of Common Prayer; Parish Communion at 10.00am uses Common Worship; whilst Morning Worship draws on a wide range of liturgical resources.
Our Rector, Canon Paul Morgan Jenkins, welcomes those who wish to be baptised or married in our beautiful church, and who are parishioners, or who qualify in some other way. St Mary & All Saints is an idyllic location for a wedding.
