The parish of Dunston has one church with the title St Nicholas with Christ Church. It lies within the Gateshead West Deanery and the Anglican Diocese of Durham.
The parish runs along the south side of the River Tyne and has the Metrocentre within its boundaries.
The parish is split in two halves by the A1 which passes through it. Despite this many people move in both parts of Dunston and it is an active busy church.
The church is on Ellison Road which has bus stops on that road. The 49 and 49a pass the door frequently.
The Rev'd David Atkinson is our new parish priest. The church also has two Readers Ann Smith and Barbara Bone.
