St Mary's is a friendly Church situated very near the University of East Anglia and the UEA student village and close to the surrounding community of West Earlham. St. Mary's is within the Parish of Earlham, along with the sister churches, St. Anne and St. Elizabeth. St. Mary's dates back to 13/15th century, a flint church with a quiet graveyard surrounding. The church seats about 120 and is heated. Over the coming year we will be undertaking work to renew the electrics and lighting within the church, as well as installing toilet and refreshment facilities. As such the church is currently used only for worship for occasional services or for funeral, baptism or wedding services, by arrangement with the vicar. On Sunday mornings we currently meet at St. Mary's Church Hall, Hutchinson Road and on Sunday afternoons at St. Elizabeth's Church, Cadge Road. Over the coming year we hope to continue with regular worship at St. Mary's Church and we invite all to join us for worship in this parish. This small church is well worth a visit for its atmosphere and serenity. If locked, the church can be accessed by arrangement with the vicar.
