Christ Church is part of a Local Ecumenical Partnership with the Methodist, United Reformed and Roman Catholic Churches. The church was completed in May 1989 as part of the Christchurch Forum project (which is involved in many forms of outreach to the community) and is attached on the north and west side to the Victorian church building which has been declared redundant. The church has been developed with the Forum and the chapel and parish office are partly or totally within the fabric of the redundant church.

9.30 Parish Communion and Children's Activities
The children meet at 9.30 and join the congregation at Communion. They often give a brief presentation of their activities at the end of the service. On the fourth Sunday of the month we have an all age Family Communion attended by the Junior Church.
