About the Church

The Parish of East Greenwich is the Church of England community of East Greenwich, the Greenwich Peninsula and Westcombe Park. The East Greenwich team has three worshipping communities at Christ Church, East Greenwich, Holy Trinity, Greenwich Peninsula and St George's, Westcombe Park.

Christ Church meets in the new worship space built onto the east end of the Victorian church which has been refurbished as a community centre, the Forum@Greenwich.

Christ Church is in a central position within the district of East Greenwich, providing a beautiful, flexible and welcoming space for worship and prayer. people, and allowing attractive space and flexibility to fit the needs of today's congregation. The Forum@Greenwich is a busy focal point and base for community activities and organisations. Christ Church is truly at the heart of the community.

For pastoral care and support or enquiries for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals, or anything else, please contact the vicar on 07740 859958 or [email protected]

Christ Church School is a thriving Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School with approximately 180 pupils. There are close links between church and school. The vicar leads weekly acts of collective worship, and the school uses the church for annual festivals and special occasions during the course of the year, and as a resource for curricular activities.

Christ Church is a member of the local Churches Together which provides opportunities for shared worship and support in Christian service. In particular, Churches Together organises an annual Memorial Service for the bereaved.

Visitors and newcomers to the area are warmly welcome at our Sunday services and during the week when the church is always open for prayer and reflection.
