17th February 2010 is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. It is customary to receive the Sign of the Cross, in Ash, on our forheads, to signify the beginning of our Lenten journey with Our Lord.

12 Noon All Saints: Mass with Ashing
 

7.30pm S.Mary’s: Parish Eucharist with Ashing.
 

As Ash Wednesday falls this year in School half-term, the School Service will take place the follwing Wednesday, 24th February: 1.15pm S.Mary’s: Elland C of E School Service with Ashing
