We hope you will come and see us and perhaps join us at a service. You will be welcome as a visitor or a more regular member of our church. Regular services are Morning Prayer on 2nd Sunday and Holy Communion on 4th Sunday. These are supplemented by festivals - please see the calendar.

The Patron Saint is St Edward, King and Martyr, who was a descendant of King Alfred.

Parts of St Edward's church date from the late 12th century (parts of the walls of the nave and chancel, particularly the corners, the arch into the chancel and a lancet window in the north wall). The south aisle and the tower were added in the 14th century. The carved pulpit is 15th century.

The oak table and cross in the south aisle were crafted by Waywood of Chadlington; the table was dedicated in 2007 and the cross in 2008.

Services are from the Book of Common Prayer and the Parochial Church Council is a corporate member of the Prayer Book Society.

'Glimpses of Evenlode', written by Canon Michael Banks, and published in 2009, relates the life of the village from Saxon to modern times. The book may be ordered from Canon Banks c/o Church Office, The Upper Room, Watery Lane, Broadwell, Glos. GL56 0UF.
