St Peter and St Paul Fakenham Parish Church

The Revd Francis Mason is the Rector of Fakenham Parish Church and also serves as Priest in Charge at Christ Church Fulmodeston with Croxton.

Fakenham Parish Church serves a Market Town Community in North Norfolk. The church is used for many groups, concerts and events throughout the year as well as many regular services of worship. Visit our website to find out more about us and what we do. http//:www.fakenhamparishchurch.org.uk

We have many forms of worship: Stepping Stones, Holy Communion (BCP), Family Communion, Messy Church, Parish Prayers and Market Day Communion.

Everyone is warmly welcomed and the church is open every day from 10.00am – 4.00pm.

Messy Church
We meet with families at Messy Church to learn a little more of the bible stories and how they help us to live today by having fun making things together, playing with sometimes messy stuff and talking and sharing a meal together. So why not give it a go. Come and MESS with us at MESSY CHURCH!

This is a quiet service where all are welcome including people without any church background.

Every Monday at 8:30 AM for ½ hour
Steppping Stones
Come and join us every Monday at 9.45am. For friendship, music, stories, toys and games. Every Monday (except Bank Holidays) Stepping Stones meets in the Trinity Room (inside Fakenham Parish Church) from 9.45am. There is no charge. Refreshments are provided free. No booking required. We begin with a short service which includes a story, a prayer, and lively songs.

Support in Loss
All Welcome If you have been recently bereaved or you experienced a bereavement many years ago, you are welcome to come and share with us a morning of support in a safe and friendly place. We come together to offer each other friendship and to listen to each other with compassion, respect and confidentiality. There are quiet places if that is what you need, or support within a group in relaxed comfortable surroundings. We meet every 1st Wednesday of the month in the Fakenham Parish Church Trinity Room from 10.00am — 12.00pm. The leaders of the group have all experienced bereavement and because of this we can bring our experiences to support others. The leaders of the group are Judith and Ann. If you would like any more information please contact either Judith 01328 864061 or Ann 01328 864537 ………….. or pop in one first Wednesday morning for a coffee.

There are refreshments served at each market with all proceeds going to Fakenham Parish Church. Fakenham Makers Market supports Fakenham Barnardo’s Helpers Group who have a regular free stall.

Resurrection Hope Service
People whose funerals we have taken during the past year will be mentioned by name at the service and their relatives should receive a personal invitation to attend. However, the service is open to all. Please feel free to come if you wish. If you have a loved one you would like remembered by name. please let us know by email to revmason@btinternet.com or post a note through the Rectory door by Wednesday 25th October so that we can add the name to our lists. It is important that we remember before God those we love who are now in his care. Grief is the price we pay for love, but love will endure. Come and light a candle for your love.

17th Christmas Tree Festival
WELCOME TO THE 17th CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 30th November to 7th December 2017 – 10am to 8pm (12noon – 7.45pm Sunday 3rd December with a non-communion Festival Service at 10.30am and Compline at 7.45pm) Refreshments: Tea, coffee, homemade cakes and filled rolls are available from 10am to 7pm every day and from 12noon on Sunday. Groups: If you are a member of a group who would like to visit the Festival, we would ask you to let us know in advance for your convenience and ours. You can download a booking form from the Fakenham Parish Church website on the Christmas Tree Festival page. Sunday 3rd December: There will be a non-Communion Festival service at 10.30am at which the charities display a token of their work and receive a blessing. Everyone is invited to this service, however the Festival will not open until 12 noon after the service. At 7.45pm the Festival will close and the choir will sing Compline – a short, quiet evening service – to which all are invited.
