St. Laurence in the beautiful downland village of Falmer extends a warm welcome to all.

Our parish encompasses both Sussex and Brighton Universities and we are keen to reach out to the students as well as those in the villages, surrounding farms and our congregation.

We offer a weekly creche for those with young children and there is coffee after the Sunday service when we meet and chat with fellow worshippers. A monthly Parish News is published and contributions and articles of interest are welcomed.

Falmer has had a church since the 11th century and thousands of people must have worshipped on this spot through the years. The present building was built in 1817 and, with various additions became the church you see today.A new illustrated booklet outlining the history of the church is now available.

There are church events throughout the year, both social and those that help us grow in faith. As well as our regular services we celebrate Saints Days and Holy days with the Eucharist. Please contact us for further details.

Other highlights include: monthly concerts, a long established Flower Festival and an annual Art Exhibition.
