The Church at the heart of the community

Saint John's is the Parish Church of Forton in Gosport.   You'll find the Church on Forton Road near the Crossways, just opposite Madeline's pub and near the Criterion bingo hall.

We are in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England, so our worship is rich in colour, movement and of course "bells and smells."  But if you think that makes us stuffy or conservative, think again!  We aim to be a Church open to everyone, at the heart of our local community.  So, whoever you are - whatever your age, ability, background, sexuality or outlook on life - you are welcome here.

Parish Mass
Come and join us for our main act of worship on a Sunday morning - a sung Mass with hymns, sermon and incense. Children of all ages (and noise levels!) are welcome - there is a special area of the Church available for them, or they are free to wander about and explore.
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Our hall is available for hire at £15 an hour.To book or view, please pop into Church any Saturday between 11:00 am and noon.

The Church is always open on Saturdays between 10:30 am and noon. We are happy to open at other times by arrangement - please contact Mother Carrie.
