With its magnificent village green, said to be the longest in England, Frampton on Severn is a beautiful village set near the Severn estuary. The largest village in the Severnside Group of parishes, there are 500 housholds.
Annual events on The Green include the ancient Frampton Feast, now a FunFair and an Edwardian style travelling circus. The Frampton Country Fair in The Park celebrates country life and country sports. In all these activites the church plays a full part.
Consecrated in 1315, with later additions, St Mary the Virgin is a large well-maintained church with an active PCC lies at the south of the group of parishes on the east side of the Sharpness/Gloucester canal. The church is open daily for our many visitors and there is a newcomers visiting team. Lay people lead weekday prayer and contribute to the Sunday Services by leading intercessions and reading. There is a variety of styles of worship.
