St George’s is a growing evangelical church in the Glascote area of Tamworth. We are situated towards the end of Bamford Street, about a mile east of the town centre.

We are a forward thinking church, where we seek to explore what it means to live out our Christian lives in today’s culture using the Bible as our guide.

Although St George’s looks traditional on the outside, the inside was reordered about 10 years ago to provide a modern worship space. Services are varied and informal. A music group leads the sung worship, using many modern worship songs and the best of the more traditional songs.

Perhaps unusual in today’s culture, the church is fortunate enough to include a complete cross section of ages, most of whom live within the parish. Tea is served across the road in the church hall after the 10am service allowing the church members to get to know each other better.

We run Alpha Courses regularly and social events are a regular feature of our church calendar.
