THE PARISH VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT
The Church of England in the Parish of Knaresborough aims to present the Christian Gospel in such a way that it may be known and joyfully experienced by everyone.
The Knaresborough Benefice comprises four churches combined into a single parish: two village churches, St John the Baptist, Brearton and St Mary the Virgin, Goldsborough, and two town churches, Holy Trinity and St. John’s Parish Church.
At Goldsborough, a thriving village church at the heart of the community, our regular Sunday worship, usually at 9.00 am., covers a wide variety of styles - something for everyone! :
1st Sunday in the month 9.00 am. Holy Communion (traditional language)
2nd Sunday in the month 9.00 am. All-age Communion (informal, modern language)
3rd, 4th & 5th Sundays in the month
9.00 am. Holy Communion (modern language)
We are delighted to baptise children and adults who live in the parish and to marry those who qualify. For further information or to make a booking please contact the Parish Administrator, Chrissy Wilson, who is based in the Team Office. The office is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm. The office phone number is (01423) 869209.
The Reverend John Bullamore, Associate Priest in the Knaresborough Team Ministry, has pastoral responsibility for Goldsborough, and is always willing to offer spiritual advice and support to those wishing it. He will gladly visit those who find it difficult to get out and about. Please speak to John after a service, or phone on 01423 864484.
