St Thomas' is a lively parish church. The building
is situated off Manor Road in Goring near the
Thames. There is regular Sunday
and weekday worship (CW and BCP). There are a variety of services from monthly. Regular
meetings take place for youth groups, prayer
groups, bible study/faith home groups with
ecumenical Advent & Lent groups during the
appropriate seasons. A monthly film-show and lunch
group is also provided for retired people of
Goring, Streatley and South Stoke.
The church building has undergone extensive
refurbishment, making it attractive, warm and
light. Together with a new hall extension called
The Canterbury Room, the church is used throughout
the week. The Canterbury Room can be hired separately for
private functions.
During the main Sunday service, there is a creche
facility in The Canterbury Room. Parents & helpers
can follow the service on the projector and
integral sound system. In October the creche will be staffed by church volunteers on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays to enable parents to remain in the church to enjoy the service.
