St. Mary's Church is a friendly and welcoming church in Great Dunmow, North Essex.

The building is predominantly 13th century and has a capacity of around 300.

We have a regular congregation of around 100 across all services, with a diverse age range.

We have regular services on a Sunday, generally at 9 a.m. and at 10.30 a.m. and morning prayer and evening prayer services are regularly held during the week at 8.30 a.m. and 4.45 p.m.  There is also a service of Holy Communion on a Thursday morning at 9.30 a.m. (although not on the third Thursday of the month). Please check the calendar or website for details of services being held in a particular week.

There are many activities for children and families, including Church Mice (Toddler group), Messy Church, Youth Group.  The 10.30 a.m. service tends to cater for families and Children's Church takes place most Sundays and generally the first Sunday of the month is an all-age service where children are very welcome and can get involved in the service.

Baptisms and weddings take place regularly and we are always happy to take enquiries regarding the possibility of a baptism or a wedding so please contact the administrator.
