Holy Trinity & St Jude’s is the prominent landmark on the corner of Free School Lane and Savile Park Road and overlooks the open space of Savile Park. The church was built in 1890 and retains many of the original features. It is dedicated to St Jude the epistle writer who is also the patron saint of lost causes!
The building, together with its church hall provides a focus, both religious and secular for the local community and beyond.
We have disabled access to both buildings and also toilet facilities for the disabled. Our sound system incorporates a hearing aid loop.
We are a lively and friendly group of Christians who combine our worship with a varied programme of social activities throughout the year.
Worship
Our main Sunday service follows the Common Worship liturgy, but we still use 1662 Book of Common Prayer for Evensong. We have a strong choral tradition and one of the finest organs in the area. The music is a mixture of traditional and modern, and in keeping with the Church year.
Prayers for healing, with the laying on of hands are offered during worship once a month.
