St Stephen's is in a prominent position in Hammerwood, four miles to the east of East Grinstead - look out for our notice boards on the A264.

Our services normally follow a pattern of Holy Communion on the 1st Sunday in the month, Family Service on the 3rd Sunday and a joint service with Cowden church on the 5th Sunday. We also hold occasional evensong services in the Summer months.

Visitors are very welcome to our services - children are especially welcome.

The Parish also includes Holtye, which has its own church of St Peter (see link below), although this has now been declared redundant.

We are one of the smallest parishes in the Diocese of Chichester, part of the Rural Deanery of East Grinstead.

Our parish has a strong choral tradition and always welcome new members of our choir. Drop us an email if you want to know more !

If you would like to know how you could help us in both our ministry and in helping out with all things financial, then drop us a message using the link.

St Stephen's is a popular choice for weddings.

LATEST NEWS: We are currently finalising plans to re-model part of the church interior and to add a toilet. Get in touch if you wish to make a donation !
