St Andrew’s is a thriving Church in the heart of Handsworth, Birmingham, in which all are welcome. It is part of the Church of England and worldwide Anglican Communion. It also belongs to the Handsworth Group of Churches, and enjoys a close relationship with St Mary’s, St Michael’s and St James’, Handsworth.
St Andrew’s is in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, and our main service is Sung Mass on Sundays at 10.00 am. We use incense, bells and candles during worship and the priest wears vestments. Our worship, although formal, is relaxed. There is also a daily Mass (except Mondays), and Communion can be taken to people who are ill or housebound.
Children are made very welcome and participate fully in the life of the Church. There is a weekly Sunday School, and a Family Mass on the second Sunday of each month.

Main Sunday service
Every first second fourth and fifth Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
A Sung Mass which is especially designed to involve children; adults are warmly invited too!
Every second Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
A monthly opportunity to come and pray the Rosary. Rosaries and booklets containing all the words are provided, so it is accessible whether or not you are familiar with this ancient form of prayer.
Every second Sunday at 3:15 PM for ½ hour

Craft Club - meets weekly in the Good Shepherd Hall behind St Andrew's Church
Monday at 2:00 PM for 2 hours
Tuesday
Every Tuesday at 2:00 PM for ½ hour
Women's Fellowship - meets weekly in the Good Shepherd Hall behind St Andrew's Church. Short monthly act of worship; tea and chat; speakers; bingo - and more.
Tuesday at 2:30 PM for 1 hour
A reading group which meets in someone's home once a month on a Tuesday evening. New members always welcome. Alternates Christian works and other literature.
Monthly Tuesday at 7:30 PM for 2 hours
Wednesday
Said Evening Prayer, using traditional language.
Every Wednesday at 7:15 PM for 20 minutes

Mass held at St Andrew's Sports and Community Centre, on the corner of Church Lane and College Road
