We at St John's, Harpenden welcome you to A Church Near You. We are a lively, friendly, Anglican church set on the edge of the Common in the south of Harpenden.

Our ministry team and congregation form a community of people who come together regularly to worship, pray, study and pursue a wide range of church based and social activities.

We place particular emphasis on nurturing young people; our Junior Church divide into groups on the basis of age, with up to 50 children attending on a Sunday.

All Age Eucharist

A family focused communion service with a short, child friendly, sermon (children are not compulsory!)

Every first Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour

Parish Communion

Our main service of the week, with Junior Church and a Creche and, on many Sundays, 'Bedrock' for year 7+.

Every second third fourth and fifth Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Holy Communion
An intimate communion service in our Lady Chapel
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for 40 minutes

All Age Eucharist
A family focused communion service with a short, child friendly, sermon (children are not compulsory!)
Every first Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour

Parish Communion
Our main service of the week, with Junior Church and a Creche and, on many Sundays, 'Bedrock' for year 7+.

Evensong
A sung service. First Sunday of the month shared with Southdown Methodist Church, alternating between here and there
Every Sunday at 6:30 PM for 50 minutes

United Harpenden Service
All the churches in Harpenden come together for worship on the 5th Sunday of the month (ie every 3 months or so). The venue varies.
Every fifth Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
