Welcome to the church of St. Mary Magdalene,
Hart Village, Hartlepool.
Hart Church serves the parish of Hart and Middle Warren and dates from 675 AD. It is the oldest church in Hartlepool and is steeped with history; a lot of this can be found displayed within the church.
The church is a popular attraction to families, regular worshippers, and tourists alike because of its beautiful location, stunning architecture and rich heritage as well as our variety in worship.
We have a variety of services suitable for old and young alike (please see 'Services and Events' for more details). We have an informal creche area available during services where children may play under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We are a popular place for Weddings and Baptisms, and look forward to walking with families on this step in their faith.

3@4 Mission Service
Our 3@4 Service is a joyful, informal, candle-lit service suitable for all ages, especially young families or those beginning on their faith journey. The service takes place every month and combines informal talks and prayer stations with multi-media and a live praise band. There are refreshments served providing an opportunity to get to know other families and some regular members of the church afterwards.
Every third Sunday at 4:00 PM for 1 hour

Our Family Service is a relaxed and friendly service of Holy Communion, with digital media, music and an informal talk. It is suitable for all ages and stages in faith and we welcome visitors.

Our weekly eucharist is suitable for all ages, and includes a variety of hymns. During the service children are welcomed into the Sunday School if they wish. We also have children's toys near the enterance of the main church which members will gladly locate for you if you wish.
