We are a small parish church that specializes in 8.00 am communion services and hosts a lively family service the fourth Sunday of each month. We are one of the CHEQS parishes within the South Cotswold Team Ministry.
The church was rebuilt in 1854-55 under the architect Henry Clutton assisted by William Burgess [1827 - 1888] the foremost art architect. The mortuary chapel is a magnificent example of Burgess' early work and his influence is everywhere especially in the carved stone animals and angels. The re-building was funded Lord de Mauley. The Victorian church stands on the site of an older medieval church and retains the original nave roof.
We are delighted that the building is used regularly by the two schools in our parish [Hatherop Church of England Primary School and Hatherop Castle School]. During term time the Castle School hold a simple chapel service in the church on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
