Grade 1 listed C12th Church. The Tower commissioned by John Tollemache in 1488, completed in 1510. Built by Master Mason Thomas Aldrych of North Lopham, Norfolk. The original contract for the tower is in The Bodleian Library, Oxford. 2010 marks the 500th anniversary of completion of the Tower.

The tower houses a famous peal of eight bells presented to the parish by the 6th Earl of Dysart in 1816 to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo. After a successful fundraising campain to replace the worn out two-tier bell frame the bells have been rehung and a re-dedication service was held on October 15th 2011.

For more information on the Bells and the appeal for their renovation, click on the link "The Bells" on the right of this window.

The weekly newsletter "The Link" and news can be found on the page for Debenham - click on the link for Debenham at the bottom of this page.

Patronage: Lord Chancellor, Lord Henniker, MMCET (Martyrs’ Memorial and Church of England Trust, now administered by CPAS), Bishop, Lord Tollemache – in turn.
