St Mary’s Church stands at the heart of the Old Town of Hemel Hempstead, just off the High Street. Its tall and elegant spire makes it unmistakable. It has been a place of worship for over eight hundred and fifty years and provides a real focus as a centre of spirituality and history in a town most of whose history goes back barely fifty years. The church has a newly refurbished Walker organ and has a robed choir

Sung Evensong
Traditional Sung Evensong, with Choir using Book of Common Prayer
Every first fourth and fifth Sunday at 6:30 PM for 50 minutes

Choral Evensong
Full Choral evensong with sung responses
Every third Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour

Monday

Said Evening Prayer
Takes place every day except Saturday
DAILY every Monday at 5:15 PM for ¼ hour

Tuesday

Holy Communion
Said Holy Communion in the Chapel usually followed by breakfast in the Rectory
Every Tuesday at 8:00 AM for 50 minutes

Lunchtime Concert
Each Month a different musician or group of musicians perform
Every second Tuesday at 12:30 PM for 1 hour

Said Evening Prayer
Takes place every day except Saturday
DAILY every Tuesday at 5:15 PM for ¼ hour

Wednesday

Holy Communion
Said Holy Communion in the Chapel
Every Wednesday at 10:30 AM for 50 minutes

Toddler Church
Time for pre-school children to meet and play. There is a short period of worship at the end
Weekly during term time every Wednesday at 1:30 PM for 1 hour

Said Evening Prayer
Takes place every day except Saturday
DAILY every Wednesday at 5:15 PM for ¼ hour
