Welcome to our pages on "A Church Near You!" . St Timothy's is the Church of England Parish Church for Hemlington, Middlesbrough. We are part of the Diocese of York and Deanery of Stokesley, and we are a member church of the North East Gospel Partnership. We are committed to serving our local community as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

SERVICES:
Our services are friendly and centred mainly around the celebration of Holy Communion with an evangelical, biblically focused sermon. On the first Sunday of each month we hold a Family Service which is geared particularly towards those from a non-church background. There is also a Sunday School during the main Parish Communion services.

The Church is open every day for private prayer, and the daily office from the Book of Common Prayer is said at 9:30am and 5:30pm.

MISSION & EVANGELISM:
We are very much a mission-church with an emphasis on evangelism. We run regular CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED courses which have strengthened the faith of church members as well as bringing new people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. We also have a yearly evangelistic mission to the parish in the summer.

LAKE VIEW COMMUNITY CAFE:
St Timothy's Parish Centre contains the Lakeview Community Cafe which is part of our outreach ministry. The cafe is open weekdays from 9am until 12pm and serves a variety of hot drinks, breakfasts and snacks. We also run a Youth Cafe on Friday evening from 7pm until 10pm where young people can get together (we sometimes have live music!)

T @ THE BARN is an informal service held in a local community centre. This service is designed to be friendly to those with little or no experience of church. We use DVD's, modern songs and informal discussion, as well as offering plenty of refreshments in the form of tea, coffee and doughnuts! T @ THE BARN takes place at The Barn, Nuneaton Drive, Hemlington, TS8 9DA at 4pm on Sundays (for more details contact us).

COME AND JOIN US!
Everyone will find a warm welcome in this Church as we seek to know more about our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ and grow in his grace. It is our prayer that we may be faithful in our witness to the Gospel message of the forgiveness of sins and the resurrection to eternal life which is God's free gift to us in his one and only Son Jesus Christ.
