Christ Church on the Stray is home to a thriving worshipping community of all ages. We are part of the Anglican (Church of England) tradition, but welcome Christians of all traditions and backgrounds. We extend a particular welcome to those who are just begining to explore Christian faith and those who are seeking to practice their faith again after many years.
The church is open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 6 pm, and from 7.30 am to 1 pm on Sundays. In our worship, daily and on Sundays, we use a range of resources, new and old, to celebrate Christ's presence in word and sacrament, and his call to us to go out in service to a world in need.
We are a community in total of 350+ adults and 120+ children and young people, and at our main service on Sunday there are normally between 200 and 300 people. We are blessed with a very able team of clergy, paid lay staff and volunteers.
Our website is very active and normally updated daily. Please visit us at www.church-square.co.uk
