CARING FOR THE FABRIC
Fabric Officer
The fabric of the church building is looked after by the Fabric Officer. As and when appropriate, she meets with the architect, builders, electricians, etc. She applies for a Faculty when anything is altered or added to the church, or church grounds.
Church Cleaners
The church is cleaned once a week. There is also a rota of people who dust and polish the furnishings.
Brass Cleaners
A team of people polish the brass on a regular basis.
Flower Arrangers
A team of people create and maintain flower arrangements in church. At festivals, the church is decorated by an additional number of people.
Embroidery Group
A group of people meet regularly to repair, maintain, design and create vestments and linen for liturgical use in church.
Churchyard Maintenance
The churchyard is mown and looked after by a group of helpers who work together, generally on a Monday morning.
