FELLOWSHIP AND FRIENDSHIP

Social Group
This group helps to foster the social life of the church. A series of social events are organised throughout the year helping to promote a sense of belonging to the church community. These include, a summer barbeque, a cheese and wine evening at Harvest, a Patronal Festival supper and a mulled wine evening at Christmas, are enjoyed. There are also other events which are fund-raising in their objective.


Church Welcome
A group of people welcome visitors to church during the day from Monday to Saturday from Easter to October. Helpers are always needed.


Coffee Makers
A team of people provide refreshments in the church hall after the Sunday morning Parish Eucharist. This provides a good opportunity to meet newcomers and visitors as well as a chance to chat with friends.



EXPLORING THE FAITH

Ministry Group
This group is concerned with the ministry and mission of the church. Meetings occur once every three months to monitor the services, initiate courses, retreats, pilgrimages, study groups, talks, and outreach.


Bible/Fellowship Study Groups
Anyone wishing to further their knowledge of the bible can join this teaching group who meet in church on the fourth Monday of every month.following the 6.30pm Eucharist. Alternatively, a fellowship group meets on the 1st Thursday of each month following the 10am Eucharist at All Saints.

Lent Courses
A weekly course takes place during Lent. Group meetings for teaching and discussion are held in various homes in the parish.

Prayer Group
A Julian of Norwich contemplative prayer group meets at
22 St. Andrew’s Close, on the first Tuesday of the month at 10.15am, for an hour.


Retreat
There is an annual parish retreat of 2/3 days during Lent.

Talks/Lecture
An annual lecture is given during ’St. Andrew’s tide’, when a current ethical/moral issue is explored and discussed. Please see the notices for details.
