Traidcraft
Fairly traded goods from around the world are available for purchase every third Sunday in the Church Hall after the Parish Eucharist.
Christian Aid
Each year we actively support Christian Aid Week witnessing to our local community and to the world that the church exists not just for itself, but for others. Christian Aid supports work in 6o countries worldwide to enable poor people, regardless of race and religion, to help themselves.
Let The Children Live
This charity responds to the needs of street children in Colombia and beyond. Our support helps safeguard the lives of children from violence and poverty of the streets and helps to make their lives worth living by giving them love, education and a future.
USPG (United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel).
USPG is an Anglican mission agency working in partnership with the church in more than 50 countries. Their work involves pastoral care, social action and supporting training programmes.
In many countries, they work with the Anglican church and set up projects to support the impoverished and marginalised. Our involvement helps support St Anne’s maternity hospital in Malawi.
Norwich Cathedral Development
The PCC has committed itself to support Norwich Cathedral over five years to help realise a vision to preserve the heritage of our mother church and to offer new facilities for those who visit and use the Cathedral.
Children’s Society
An active group of fund-raisers work hard to support the work of the Children’s Society. The Society works to support families and children in some of the country’s most deprived and isolated communities.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER
CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS.
Ecumenical Relationship
Presently, there are two other Christian communities meeting in Holt. The Methodist Church on Norwich Road and the Vine Family Church which meets in the Community Centre. Members of the Roman Catholic Church normally attend St Joseph’s Church in Sheringham.
During each year we join together for united acts of worship and witness. In particular during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Christian Aid Week, Good Friday Procession, Pentecost Praise, and a Christmas Carol Service.
The leaders of the churches meet to pray together and to plan ecumenical events.
