For centuries village life throughout England has been centered on the Parish Church - and Holwell was no exception. There must have been some primitive place of worship in the village when the Saxon King Edgar granted the charter in 968. It is believed that there have been four churches on the same site since that time.
Please see our website for more details of the history of our church, service times and much more.
