The church has stood for 185 years and is a vibrant part of life for dozens of British residents on the island and for many thousands of people from all countries of the world. Throughout the year our weekly congregation averages 150, of which some 90% are non-resident: tourists from hotels, timeshare resorts and cruise ships. We like to think that this huge number of worshippers is a tribute to the faith which supports us all, the history, beauty and grandeur of our church and the friendship and fellowship we provide. Our visitors come from many different Christian traditions and all are welcome to share fully in our worship and take communion with us: our church is truly a house of prayer for all people.

Sunday
Holy Communion
Our Sunday morning Parish Communion is the main service of the week and is attended by the largest congregation, so we pull out the stops - literally! This is the one service of the week where our resident organist, Dr Melvin Bird, performs his wonders - we are extremely fortunate to have a man of his skill and dedication on the Island. We have a stall where Jim and Val Thwaites will provide for your needs, be they books to read, jams, marmalades and chutneys to brighten your mealtimes, stops to keep your doors from slamming or pens to take notes with, and a reception where we invite you to sample two of the specialities of the island: a glass of Madeira wine or a slice of bolo de mel, the delicious honey cake, or simply to have a cup of coffee and a chat. We make a small charge for the reception.
