Stained Glass
The church is blessed with beautiful stained glass windows. The east window is particularly fine and shows the Baptism of Jesus. The window to the right of the altar shows Queen Victoria visiting wounded soldiers. She is wearing spectacles and seated in a wheelchair. It is said to be one of only two in the country.
Other scenes depicted are the Betrayal of Jesus by Judas, Jesus as the Good Shepherd, Jesus as the Light of the World, the Birth of Jesus, Elizabeth and one 'In memory of two choristers 1897.'
In the choir vestry one window shows King David and the second one Miriam while in the clergy vestry Saint Peter and Saint Stephen are depicted.
There is one modern window which shows MARY. Unfortunately the original was vandalised a number of years ago. This window was thought to have been the leper window.
The west window is the only one that is not completely coloured although the head was filled with stained glass during the restoration work in 1844.
