All Saints' is the Parish Church at the crossroads in the centre of Ilkley. It stands on the site of the ancient Roman fort of Olicana, and has been a site of Christian worship for more than 1000 years. The remains of three Saxon crosses which once stood in the churchyard but are now displayed inside the tower (below left), form a continuing link with Christians down the ages.
Although parts of the present church date back to Norman times, it was substantially rebuilt in the 1860s and much of the structure and the internal layout dates from that time.
Despite its ancient links All Saints' is not a museum. It is a very lively and living Church and the building continues to adapt to the needs of the Christians who use it.
