STUART RESTORATION
In 1684, in the days of Charles II, the Royal Coat of Arms - recoloured in 1935 - was placed in position over the Chancel Arch
19th Century
In 1801 the Galleries in both transepts were removed. In 1860 there was much restoration of the interior; the floor was raised and tiled, etc. In 1875 the tower was in part repaired and the present clock provided.
20th CENTURY
In 1886 the spire was partly rebuilt. The bells rehung in 1903. From 1923 to 1934 at a cost of about £1300, all raised locally, extensive repairs and restoration of the building have been accomplished; new heating and lighting installed; and new equipment provided.
