We are a busy congregation with a wide variety of activities including social events, home groups, support for mission partners in Tanzania, etc.
The small church building (seating 120) is medieval but it was restored and furnished in Victorian times. The North West side of the church may be seen from Desford Road, but the entrance is on the South and reached via a footpath on Main Street, where there is parking at the church hall opposite.

Early Morning Holy Communion (BCP)
A service according to the Book of Common Prayer with a sermon lasting approximately ten minutes. Hymns are sometimes sung.
Every first Sunday at 9:00 AM for 50 minutes
Early morning Holy Communion
A quiet service of Holy Communion using 'Order One' from the Common Worship service book. There is a sermon of approximately ten minutes.
Every third Sunday at 9:00 AM for 50 minutes
Family Service
This service is suitable for both children and adults, and often contains drama and practical activities as well as a short talk. Music is led by a small all-age orchestra.

Morning Service
A service of Common Worship, with music. On the second and fourth Sundays of the month it is Holy Communion; on the third Sunday it is Morning Prayer. There is a sermon of approximately twenty minutes.

A service with hymns, and a sermon of approximately twenty minutes. On the first Sunday of the month this is normally a service of Holy Communion. On the second Sunday of the month it is Evening Prayer using Common Worship. On the third Sunday it is Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. The fourth Sunday varies.

Monday

Prayer meeting
A small group meeting to pray particularly about the mission of the whole parish. Finishing by 3 pm in time to meet children from school. All welcome.

Tuesday

Bart's Tea Shop
A warm welcome awaits you on Tuesday afternoons in St.Bartholomew's church hall, where refreshments, cards, gifts and Fairtrade goods are on sale.
Every Tuesday at 3:00 PM for 2 hours

Wednesday

Holy Communion
Holy Communion (said) using Common Worship. The congregation normally sits in the choir stalls.
Every Wednesday at 9:30 AM for ½ hour

Thursday

Prayer Breakfast
People from the whole parish meet in a home for a simple breakfast, followed by informal prayer for the parish and for the world. This takes place in a different home each month.

Mothers' Union meeting
Mothers' Union members from the whole parish meet in St.Bartholomew's church hall. New members welcome - anyone who cares about Christian family life.
Every second Thursday at 7:30 PM for 2 hours

Drop-in (Church Hall)
An opportunity for church members and visitors to meet for a chat, in the church hall, Main Street. Coffee etc is served, and cards and fairtrade goods are on sale. The church is also open for private prayer.
