THE PARISH VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT
The Church of England in the Parish of Knaresborough aims to present the Christian Gospel in such a way that it may be known and joyfully experienced by all people.
Holy Trinity's 166ft spire is an important landmark in Knaresborough. Floodlit at night, it is a welcoming sight when approaching the town from all directions. This welcome continues and is extended within the church itself, its services and associated activities.
We are delighted to baptise children and adults who live in the parish and to marry those who qualify. For further information or to make a booking please contact the Parish Administrator, Chrissy Wilson, who is based in the Team Office. The office is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm. The office phone number is (01423) 869209.
The Knaresborough Team comprises four churches combined into a single parish: two village churches, St John the Baptist, Brearton and St Mary the Virgin, Goldsborough and two town churches St John the Baptist's and this one.
Our main Sunday services are in the Anglo Catholic tradition with incense used regularly. The Sung Eucharist gives way to a more modern form of worship once every two months to encourage new members. High days and holy days are often celebrated in conjunction with the other churches in the parish team and ecumenical services add to the diversity of our worship.
Worship at all the Sunday services is enhanced by the contributions of our enthusiastic organist and choir. Holy Trinity's acoustics are locally renowned and it is home to the town's own choral society. Other choral and instrumental concerts are held periodically.
The Holy Trinity based Bible Study Group meets weekly in participant's homes and welcomes members from other Team Churches. Many of our congregation are members of other groups within the Team including Mother's Union, Knaresborough Parish Ladies, and the Bereavement Befrienders group.
Our hall, which is adjacent to the church, is well used by many community organisations in the town.

Mid Week BCP Holy Communion
Holy Communion, Book of Common Prayer style, is a service which shows off the beauty of the traditional English language. There are no hymns in this service and for those familiar with The Book of Common Prayer we use Order Two. This much loved service is well attended by a very welcoming congregation who enjoy visiting one of the local cafes after the service.
Every Wednesday at 10:00 AM for ½ hour
