Our Mission Action Plan

St John's over time has developed a Mission Action Plan to guide its thinking.

- To reach out into the community through a regular newsletter and a welcome pack for new residents

- To revitalise a Junior Church

- To offer training for Lay Readers

- To study together

From recent Church Council conversations, since my arrival as vicar in August 2007, it is also clear that to the above it can be added, a 'desire to engage in mission among the new housing as built in the Lawley area'. While not formally stated as part of the Mission Action Plan, this is a clear desire among the members of the Church as well as the Church Council. Connected to this, an Outreach Worker will soon be appointed by the Diocese of Lichfield to work within the Lawley area of Telford, St John's will seek to support and work alongside that minister where possible.
