St Giles Church, Lea, dates from the 14th century, though it was largely rebuilt in 1880. It has recently undergone significant internal re-ordering so that the building is now a warm welcoming flexible space, suitable for many activities.
We are part of the Woodbridge Group of Churches, comprising six parishes to the east of Malmesbury.
We are a friendly, lively fellowship, who seek to follow Jesus Christ through our worship, witness and care for one another. We believe that the Bible is God’s word and is as relevant today as when it was written.
We value the contributions of all ages in our life together in Christ and in our worship. There are various Children’s and Youth groups, including regular Children's Holiday Clubs, a monthly Saturday morning club and a monthly Sunday event during the main church service, both for primary school children, as well as a weekly drop in club for secondary school students.
There are several Fellowship Groups meeting in homes in the village.
The Woodbridge Group of Churches has a link with Trinity College, Bristol, to provide a "context" for the support and training of a small group of students. They live in the Woodbridge area, and experience life as part of the church fellowships in the group, with many opportunities for practical help in leading and speaking at services and other events. The students travel into college on some days in the week where they enjoy the full programme of lectures and tutorials appropriate to their course.
