The former Parish of St Andrew, South Levenshulme in Manchester was merged with the adjacent former Parish of St Peter in 2005. The combined new parish is named St Peter with St Andrew, and replaces both former parishes. For a number of years prior to the merger of the parishes, St Andrews Church met at St Andrews Church of England Primary School, which was re-located to a new building on Broom Avenue, Levenshulme. After the merger of the parishes, members of the St Andrews congregation mostly joined either the merged church or the Church of St Mark, Levenshulme. The former church building of St Andrews was for a while out of use. Subsequently, the building was renovated and reused with the interior divided into a number of private flats.
The new Parish of St Peter with St Andrew, retains the former St Peters Church as the parish church. It is located at the junction of Barlow Road and Stockport Road, M19 3BS. St Marks Church is located at the northern end of Broom Lane, M19 3HP. Both these churches have their own separate entries in this directory, and can be found on the map under "Find Us".
