Be assured of a warm welcome from a congregation of mixed ages and backgrounds. Situated on the edge of the village, St Peters Church has weekly services, and regularly used for baptisms, weddings, funerals and other special services. Children’s and Youth Group activities are held monthly. The church will be open during daylight hours.

Butterfly Club
Do you like the idea of a hour or so for your young one to socialise with other youngsters? Singing, listening to stories and doing simple craft activities with time left just to play? Mens Forum Joint Benefice Event
The Men’s Forum group meets six times a year in Strumpshaw Parish Room or on visits to places of interest. Attendance ranges from 12 to 20 and is open to all men in the benefice. Christian speakers are invited to talk about their work and faith. A social evening is held in January.

Flower Festival 2-5 June 2012
The Queen's Diamond Jubilee - Sixty Glorious Years From Saturday 2nd June to Tuesday 5th June 2012 Lingwood Church will be celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a Flower Festival including a Service of Thanksgiving on Sunday 3rd. The theme will be the last 60 years of the Queen's reign with flower arrangements based on notable events. The local school children will be contributing by reminding us what was happening in the world during those decades. We are open, between 10am and 4pm each of the 4 days. Tea/coffee and cake will available, and in addition Ploughman's Lunches also being available on Saturday 2nd, Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th Nationally we are being encouraged to eat together as a community on Sunday 3rd June, so we are planning that the Festival will include a Big Jubilee Picnic at 1pm -for everyone to come along with a picnic for a real community celebration. This will be followed at 2pm by a Service of Thanksgiving for the Queen. Entrance is free - donations to the fund for repairs to the church building are very welcome.
