Liverpool Parish Church faces the river Mersey and Christians have been worshipping on its site for over 750 years, since the days when sailors would come and pray at the small chapel of St Mary del Key. Today's church remains a place of devotion and sanctuary which is visited by people from all walks of life, in addition to being the home of several lively congregations who gather for the daily celebration of the mass. As the parish church for much of Liverpool city centre, 'St Nick's' plays an important role in civic and commercial life, whilst retaining strong links with the maritime and naval community. Amongst the regular congregation, there is a strong commitment to fellowship and lay involvement in the running of the parish, as well as to various charitable causes. Whether you wish to join us for worship, or simply to enjoy our beautiful building and garden, you would be most welcome. The church is open on weekdays from 9am-5pm, as well as on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
