St. James the Great, Longdon is an attractive medieval church with many Norman features. We try to open the building every day during daylight hours. You are assured of a warm welcome at any of our services and events.

Sunday

Holy Communion
This is a "said" Communion Service using traditional language from Common Worship. The service is held in the chancel area of the church and a short homily or sermon is preached.
This will also be held on Easter Sunday morning at the regular time of 8am
Every third and fifth Sunday at 8:00 AM for ¾ hour
Common Worship
Parish Eucharist
A Sung Eucharist using Common Worship liturgy. We make full use of the wide variety of liturgy available in Common Worship and Times and Seasons. The service is normally followed by fellowship over tea or coffee.
For the fourth Sunday in the month, we use a simpler form of Communion service which may be more appropriate for the younger members.
Every first second third and fourth Sunday at 11:00 AM for 1 hour
Family Friendly Refreshments Common Worship
Celebration Praise
A lay-led non-Eucharistic service with straightforward child-friendly language.

COLLECTIVE WORSHIP
HALF OF ST JAMES' PRIMARY SCHOOL COME TO CHURCH ON THE FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH DURING TERM TIME TO JOIN IN COLLECTIVE WORSHIP. PARENTS AND GOVERNORS ARE ALSO WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
Every fourth Wednesday at 9:30 AM for ½ hour

Messy Church
Children from about three to eleven with their parents enjoy colouring, sticking, singing, sowing seeds, kite flying etc.
Every third Saturday 4pm till 6pm. Food too!
Every third Saturday at 4:00 PM for 2 hours
