The parish church is dedicated to St John the Baptist:
It is built mainly of flint and has a typically East Anglian round tower.
We like to follow a traditional form of worship in our Sung Eucharist and feel we are continuing centuries of reverence. Some members of our congregation show their loyalty by traveling a considerable distance to attend. The church interior was designed by Sir Ninian Comper, John Betjeman described it as the golden church. So that people can come to visit this ,or simply want private prayer the church is open every day from 8am to dusk.
We are delighted that Rev Glen Brooks has been licensed and inducted to be our new priest- in - charge and has now taken services in all the churches of the benefice.
Our July PCC meeting he was our chariman for the first time, while Judith Hobbs undertook her first meeting as churchwarden as Anne Davis has reitired after 24 years in post. All the parishes in the ;benefice acknowledged her services to the group with flowers and a cheque so she can get a season ticket to the Marina Thearre to enjoy the RPO and choral events. .
