The site and church date from the early Norman times AD1100. The remains of the original tower can be seen in fragments on the south side of the present church. The original Norman church consisted of a west tower, a nave (now the present chancel) and a short chancel.
The roll of vicars of Lympne dates back to AD1291 and there is a fine ring of six bells.
The Parish Priest, Revd Richard Love, and the Parochial Church Council are preparing for a complete refurbishment of the interior of the building. This refurbishment, which includes new heating and inside toilets, will make the building more useable for many more events and activites by the local community. For full details please visit our bespoke web site.
