St Leonard's is an Anglican church to the south of Telford town centre.

We are a church seeking to grow, seeking to be a positive and growing influence to the glory of God and the extension of God's kingdom within particularly the Malinslee area where we are situated.

Our worship could be described as central and is primarily eucharist based, traditional and liturgical in style yet seeking to be progressive and creative. Always seeking to improve and make it welcoming for those who come regularly to church and for those who perhaps haven't been for awhile.

We have regular children's work during our Sunday services. We are beginning to run children's holiday clubs during the year, having run one last year at Halloween. St Leonard's is also a church which is a popular one for christenings.

But come and check us out for yourself!

St Leonard's was built in 1805,and it is one of only three Thomas Telford designed churches in England. Our picture gallery gives some images.

As a church we are part of the Church of England parish of Central Telford, within the Diocese of Lichfield. We seek to work closely with other Anglican churches and churches of other denominations within the town. We are also glad to have close links with a couple of local primary schools, who have various services in the building during the year. Part of the ministry of St Leonard's is also within a number of sheltered housing schemes, where individuals from the church, (not just the vicar!), lead services. Each year we support the Christmas Shoe Box appeal, run by Samaritan's Purse, to help disadvantaged children.

We also are used by various local community organisations during the week - a parent and toddlers group, and an aerobics class (with creche provided).

There is more information about us through the various links on this webpage.

You would be very welcome to any of our Sunday or weekday services and we hope to see you some time!

May God bless you...

Holy Week Multi Media Event
The Passion is a multi-media act of worship by John Gerighty. The aim is to use music, added to visual aids such as slides, etc. to touch hearts. The story begins on Palm Sunday as Jesus is carried into Jerusalem on a donkey, and from here we are taken on a journey through Holy Week, ending with the Cross on Calvary.
