What we do

Home Groups:
These informal groups meet in homes to worship God, discuss the Bible as it applies to daily life, pray for one another and have fun.

Cell Groups:
These groups operate in a similar way to Home Groups but have a vision of growth & evangalism. We feel that these groups hold a central role within the life of the churches. For more information on Home Groups or Cell Groups, please talk to Rev. Gordon Kegg. See our website for contact details.

Youth Church:
Has approximately 40 young people on the register and is split into two halves, upper & lower. Lower Youth Church runs much like a traditional Sunday School with small groups catering for all youth aged between 3-10 years. Upper Youth Church runs along the lines of a Youth Service, incorporating elements of worship, prayer, teaching, ministry and fun. Upper Youth Church caters for youth aged between 11-18. The aim of Youth Church is to provide a place of worship and fellowship that is relevant and accessible to youth.

We also run events during the week.

Alpha Courses:
Mattishall Church usually runs two Alpha Courses during the year, the next course starting in September. For more details see our Alpha page on our website.

Drop-In:
On Thursday mornings is a cheerful, lively place where people come to chat and have tea and coffee, and where there are those who will listen and help, when needed.

Pram Club:
On Tuesday mornings for parents with babies/toddlers aged from 0 - 5 years. Come and have a coffee and chat.

Care & Counselling:
Counselling is offered by a team of trained counsellors and supervision for counselling is also available. The area of Care also has a Bereavement Team, Visiting Team, Caring for the Carers, Emergency Food Store & Parenting Courses.

Mission & Evangelism:
We organise events throughout the year some of which are: Men's Breakfasts (A light breakfast is served with a testimony from somebody giving their experience of God), Alpha Courses and we also hold sporting tournaments.

Prayer Team:
has the task of encouraging Church members to develop a PASSION to be in the presence of God, to pray, listen and discern His will, both personally and corporately; a longing to continually receive Christ’s great love and demonstrate this to others through action, compassion, prayer and intercession in order to make Jesus known to the lost and to build up His Church.
